Co-founder and Assistant Program Director Darrell Flowers has had a love for the game since the age of eight that developed from watching his older brother David play. By the time he turned 11 his passion for the game had turned into a desire to one day play on a higher level, so he began to work towards fulfilling that desire. For Darrell the game was just not a game but his way to avoid the streets of New York that some of his friends had got caught up in.

 

New York City, the mecca of basketball is were Darrell began to make a name for himself at the age of 16, being invited to play in major Pro Am tournaments throughout New York. From West 4th to Rucker Pro Am, Darrell developed his game by playing against some of the toughest competitors New York had to offer, many in which he became friends with and still remain friends till this day.

 

Darrell received full scholarships to attend and play college ball at both Santa Barbara City College and George State College. After college, he turned his attention to helping young athletes develop their talent by focusing on the many secrets he have learned over the course of his basketball career. His teachings focused on becoming fundamentally sound along with developing a understanding of the game. His dream was to one day offer a program that would allow players to reach their full basketball potential while developing them into productive individuals in life.
